Research Data Management Implementation at Peking University Library: Foster and Promote Open Science and Open Data

Research Data Management (RDM) has become increasingly important for more and academic institutions. Using the Peking University Open Repository (PKU-ORDR) project as an example, this paper will review a library-based university-wide open research data repository related RDM services implementation process including kickoff, needs assessment, partnerships establishment, software investigation selection, customization, well curation training. Through review, some issues revealed during stages of are also discussed addressed in such awareness data, demands from providers users, policies requirements home institution, funding agencies publishers, collaboration between administrative units libraries, concerns users. The significance study is that shows example creating other Chinese libraries planning to implement their authors have observed since PKU-ORDR implemented 2015, Library (PKUL) helped numerous researchers support entire life cycle enhanced Science (OS) practices on campus, impacted national OS movement China through various events activities hosted by PKUL.
